Women position in Japan
Generally,Companies don't want to hire women who are going to get married and to have children. They think that women can't work hard and well if they have family. Old Japanese society force that men should work outside, women should do house working, raise children and take care of all family. Our society is based on that culture and many Japanese think that is the best way. It's must be very tough situation if women have full time job. They need family agreement, support, understanding boss and company.Sometimes they give up marrige or having children instead of working.
Recently, women's society position is getting better in Japan. But,it's not like other advanced countries. There aren't many women polititians, managers and bussiness women. It's might be much better than now if we have many of them. Then, Japan could be a real advanced country.

TTC Accident

Two weeks ago, Eglinton, Lawerence, and York Mills stations on the Yonge line was closed while investigations into the accident continued. Shuttle buses was running rush hour passengers along Yonge St., which have been closed to regular traffic.
What’s happend? One person died and two people injured in the tunnel. They are TTC transit worker. I guess they might be careless or TTC tunnel might have problem. Obviously this should not have happened. We have to prevent an accident in the bud.
How can we prevent an accident?
The people realized about something after accident and problem happened because we think that we are always safe. However, the accident was caused by carelessness. You must be careful and don't make careless mistakes.
Skinny Models

My presentation topic is skinny model.
On 15th November, Ana Carolina Reston who was a Brazilian model, died of anorexia. At that time, she was 21 years old. Though she was 174cm tall, her weight was just 39.6 kg.
In Spain and Italy, the governments prohibited skinny models who are under regular standard from participating in fashion shows. In America, London and France, the governments declared to work on this problem with education and campaign. They did not establish rules.
Nowadays, a skinny models problem affects not only fashion society but also governments and apparel society.
Live Together Before Marriage

Before marriage, they can know personality and their love each other, and they can always be together and save money. Even it has advantage and I don’t have a partial point of view, I have a different opinion about living together before marriage. If I have a boyfriend, I will think about living together once a time. But I can’t do that, because I have to think about my family and my future. As I know, compared with Korea, America or other countries are common. And they have the law about living together. On the other hand, some people have a partial point of view about living together before marriage. Even though many people’s view is changed, until now the old have a bad point of view, because of China’s culture. Long time ago, Korea’s culture is effect from China’s Confucian ideas. Korea still has Confucian ideas.
These days, near university there are many studio apartments. Some people lived together to save money and to be satisfied with love life. Some people are too young, so they can’t control their behaviors. In addition, sexual life also can fall into disorder. It might be dangerous. After living together, many problems can happen. On the assumption that one couple live together, although a woman become pregnant, a man don’t want to get marry. In this case, they might not get married. They may break up or the woman will go to the hospital to abort her baby. Finally they will be unhappy. In Korea, there are many single moms, orphans and there are not enough institutions. There isn’t the definite law about living together. For that reason, this problem became big issue.
How can we solve this problem? I think that living together have to protect by the law. As previously stated, other country has the law about live together. Living together must have provided in the law by government. I think if the law of living together is provided strongly, it will be better than before.
Youth Internet

One problem that arises might be that some individuals create a Webpage that reflects who they want to be rather than who they are. I think they must deceive who they are. Now, such deception is quite common.
They can do anything on Internet. They might feel confident and can make up that they seem to be more interesting. They are getting used to deceiving themselves and another.
It may not be legitimate to youths who are growing for future. We should have worried about a problem cause anonymity of the Internet. I think, It make people who use internet can hide themselves. I mean, They don't have to prove theirs identity, so they might trick or deceive. Otherwise, anonymity of the Internet is sometimes useful and It can guarantee to criticism more freely, but some of people we called "netizen" have misused it.
Urgently, we have to solve this problem. How can we?
We ought to teach youths right way to use internet. Also, we have to improve and teach Internet Laws so called "Netiquette" to youths. I said, Youths is future of the world. From now, we have to make polite custom in the Internet. We have to know that deception is guilty not only real life but Internet. If that happens, we might expect that we could use internet much better and more effective way.
The TTC

First of all, the TTC should change old buses for new ones with voice recorder, otherwise we can not recognize which bus stop we can get off or not. In my case, in winter, because of bad weather at night, the windows were all blurred, so I was not able to see the bus stop.If the TTC driver or voice recorder announces the street name, I can know where to get off. It is really hard weather in winter in Canada, so the TTC should take care of the passengers more. I think the TTC should change old buses quickly for new ones because the fee was increased recently.
Second, the TTC bus should have been much more punctual. Recently, I was waiting for bus at Finch station for 30minutes, however, the bus did not come. Lots of people were waiting.
And then, I was really surprised because two buses were coming at almost the same time !It was like twins. If the TTC had been more punctual, two buses should not have come at the same time!
Finally, the TTC should make the metropass more flexible. It is just valid from first day of the month to the end of the month. I think all passengers do not use from first day. For example, I want to use the metropass from April 19th to May 19th because I move to Quebec city on May 19th. The TTC should change the rule about metropass. In Tokyo, the metropass has a lot of varieties. We can start to use it from any time and choose it for one month, three months, or six months. If you choose three months or six months, they will give you a discount. They should treat the passengers the way they would want to be treated.

Global Warming

You know it is a very big problem in the world.
Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans in recent decades.
CO2 has been stored heats since human advanced in technology.

And global warning has a lot of problems.
I think that we should we should save the waste.
What personal can do is very small.
But when many people do the same thing, that is the big power.
In saying, many a little makes a mickle.
Let's save the waste together.
The Violence of Sao Paulo

Without doubt, Sao Paulo it's a big, beautiful and great city. You might have thought about a perfect city, with a lot of people living in peace and harmony but, you are wrong.
Like the others cities in the world we have a lot of problem, that with a little of willingness we can find the solution.
In my opinion the worst problem we have, is the violence. Because this is something that one day will affect you, if you want or not. You don't have choice.
Last year Sao Paulo was dominated by the crime. A criminal organization called "PCC-Primeiro Comando da Capital" planed a wave of attacks to the policy barracks, their objective were kill every cop they find.

I Don't know what they might have wanted with this, but they do it.
The first attack was in Friday night they attacked a policy barrack, they killed five policies guards, and others guys attacked another barrack and killed more cops, this was terrible. The city was dominated by the crime. Nobody knew about it, that was something new.
On Saturday the waves didn't finish, its was only the begin, but this time the policy guards knew about the attacks, so they started to defend their self. They entered in a war, the cops didn't want arrested the criminals, they shot for kill.

A lot of innocent people died, in these days the streets was empty, everybody were scary, and the city was alone.
The President should have done something to stop with that war.
Without any option, The Government must have done a deal with the Leader of PCC, a guy called Marcolla.
What do you thing he might have thought in this moment?
In my opinion he might have thought that he has power to do every thing he wants.
It is a little depressing make deal with criminals, do what they want, but only doing this the attacks stopped.
Now the same thing is happening in Rio de Janeiro, another Brazilian city.
What they should do? The same as The Government done in Sao Paulo?
In my opinion, it's time to fight against this kind of Criminal Organization.
The most famous Terrorist of the world

All around world, so, many people have been hated him until now. I know that you will guess someone.
You may be thought Mr. kim, who president of North Korea.
If he was terrorist, then he dicided to attack to South Korea.
It is the war like a 1950 Korea Battle again.
Mr. Kim is dictator of the Communist Party, and also has a dream that unite to North and South Korea by Communism.
But it is not important

His name is George W. Bush ,who is the 43rd President of the United States(2001~2008). He was sworn into office on January 20, 2001, re-elected on November 2, 2004, and sworn in for a second term on January 20, 2005. Prior to his Presidency, President Bush served for 6 years as the 46th Governor of the State of Texas, where he earned a reputation for bipartisanship and as a compassionate conservative who shaped public policy based on the principles of limited government, personal responsibility, strong families, and local control. And his father, who is George H.W. Bush, was president, too. And he belong to the Republican Party in America.
Every one may be remembered on the morning of September 11, 2001,

terrorists attacked the World Trade Center in America.
THE NOTEBOOK

I am so sorry to change the topic at my discretion. In fact, I did not know that we would do presentation about social problem. I realized my own mistake just now. Truth be told, I was so ashamed, I felt like crawling into a mousehold.
If you go to school by subway, I strongly recommend you to read a booklet on the subway. I am afraid nobody is remotely interested in reading.Simon says "many a little makes a mickle." So probably it would be brilliant even though it is short time. Recently, I have been reading a book titled "THE NOTEBOOK" in the subway even when I stand.
The book impressed me highly and reminded me of my first love. When I
tried to read the book at first, I just kept it up without checking even though there were some words and lines I did not know. At that time I was reading with intent to understand a plot of the story. But I have been checking those kinds of words since the second times. Actually it is a little easier to read than other books, and there are so many fine phrases in the book. It means you had better select this book when you make up your mind to read. In addition, If you write a letter to your sweetheart, the quotations from the novel would be helpful to communicate your feelings better.
Of course, some students might watch a movie titled "THE NOTEBOOK" because this novel has been firmed by famous director. THE NOTEBOOK had a good reputation of movies. I was not able to watch this movie without emotion as well. But the book gives far fuller explanation than the movie. Here is a passage of the novel which impressed me so much.
"You are the answer to every prayer I have offered. You are a song, a dream, a whisper, and I do not know how I could have lived without you for as long as I have"
I was moved by this affectionate saying. Looking back, it was the most beautiful, remarkable, memorable novel that I ever read. I believe it could not be more highly romantic story. THE NOTEBOOK will tear a hole in your heart.

Grammar Re-presented:
How to Use Relative Clauses
Use relative clauses to provide extra information. This information can either define something (defining clause), or provide unnecessary, but interesting, added information (non-defining clause).
Relative clauses can be introduced by:
- a relative pronoun: who (whom), which, that, whose
- no relative pronoun, Ø.
- where, why and when instead of a relative pronoun
You need to consider the following when deciding which relative pronoun to use:
- Is the subject or object or possessive of a relative clause?
- Does it refers to a person or an object?
- Is the relative clause a defining or non-defining relative clause?
NOTE: Relative clauses are often used in both spoken and written English. There is a tendency to use non-defining relative clauses mostly in written, rather than in spoken, English.

Each pair make two pairs of sentences doubled spaced on lined paper. After the full rotation through the class the pairs work on combining the paired sentence into one sentences. If it is not possible, correction are made through monitoring by the Teacher. The sentences are posted, reviewed and corrected in a mingling activity by the entire class. The pair with the most correct sentences wins a prize TBA on Monday.
