'The Korean Traditional Mask' - by hyun wook

This is my presentation about 'Korean traditional mask'. I try to choice a topic about Korean as possible as I can. I am going to introduce you to 'the Korean traditional masks'. Korean Masks have unique characteristics compared with other country's things. It's the 'Fun'!! If you see korean masks, you will know Korean masks are so fun. There are different reasons to make mask. African and American Indians made their masks to give dread and fear. So, they must have wanted driving away ghost and bad soul. but Korean masks make people laugh with surprised and laughed figure. because 'The Korean common people' make mask to fun nobble. That is the sole interesting to 'common people' with pained by hard working.

Our ancestors have made and used a masks. from long time ago. At first, They must have used masks by tool of disguise and hunt animals. and then, gradually change to religious service, at last. turn into the arts. Most Korean masks have been used in game. except some masks are respected. Almost masks spreaded the whole country is not only play game but also include factor expected good luck. A representative Korean masks are Hahoital, Bongsantal, Gangnyungtal, etc. These masks is named by village where the mask is originated.
Each mask has a different trait and is made by different material. We would dance or play with these masks in Korea. We have still dance of Bongsantal, play of Hahoital, etc. in our country.
They are famous enough as many foreigners come and watch them.
